FAQs

  • Why should I choose Onel Auto Body & Paint?

We focus on quality repairs, clear communication, and customer satisfaction. Our team restores your vehicle the right way and helps with every step of the insurance process.

  • Do you work with insurance companies?

Yes — we work with most major insurance companies, including State Farm, Progressive, Shelter, Root, Chubb, Erie, and more.

  • Will my car look the same as it did before the accident?

Yes, our goal is to return your vehicle to its pre-accident condition. We use manufacturer repair standards, proper color-matching, and blending to ensure a seamless finish. However, please keep in mind that the type of parts approved by your insurance company can sometimes affect the fit and finish. If this happens, we’ll explain the options to you and document everything for clarity.

  • Is my repair covered by a warranty?

Yes. All repairs performed at Onel Auto Body & Paint are backed by a written warranty. This ensures that if an issue arises related to the repair, you’re covered.

  • How long will repairs take?

It depends on the extent of the damage, parts availability, and insurance approvals. We’ll provide an estimate and keep you updated if delays occur due to hidden damage or supplement approvals.

  • Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. Estimates can also be requested online.

  • Why don’t I get an estimate from photos alone?

Photos are a helpful start, but they don’t always reveal hidden damage. A thorough in-person inspection is necessary to provide an accurate repair plan.

  • Do you repair electric vehicles?

No. We do not work on EVs (Tesla, Rivian, Polestar). We focus on standard passenger vehicles, trucks, and fleets to ensure repairs meet our high standards.

  • How long does an estimate take?

Most in-person estimates take approximately 30 minutes, depending on the vehicle's condition.

  • Do you use aftermarket parts?

We use the parts approved by your insurance company unless you request otherwise. If aftermarket parts are suggested, we’ll explain the differences and options.

  • Do you use OEM parts?

Whenever possible and approved, yes. Some insurers only authorize aftermarket parts, but we’ll always discuss your options and document what’s used.

  • Will my car get washed and vacuumed?

Yes, we return your car clean, both inside and out, after repairs.

  • If my car has just been painted, how should I care for it?

Avoid waxing, polishing, or harsh washing chemicals for the first 60 days. Hand wash only with mild soap and water during this period.

  • Can I polish and wax my vehicle after repairs?

Yes, but wait at least 60 days to allow the paint to fully cure.

  • What happens if gasoline is spilled on fresh paint?

Wipe it off immediately with water and avoid scrubbing. Contact us if the spill leaves a mark.

  • How long will my new finish last?

With proper care, your refinish will last as long as your factory paint. We use durable coatings designed to protect your vehicle.

  • What if my insurance company says something different than your shop?

This is common. Insurance companies often aim to minimize costs, but we follow repair standards. If adjustments are needed, we’ll submit a supplement and work directly with your adjuster.

  • What payments are accepted at Onel Auto Body & Paint?

We accept insurance checks, debit cards, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX), and personal checks. Deductibles are paid directly to us at the time of vehicle pickup.

  • Do you provide rental cars or help with transportation?

Yes. If your insurance policy includes rental coverage, we’ll help coordinate a rental vehicle for you. If not, let us know and we’ll work with you to explore local rental options.
